Scope of Work for GCS:

  • Scaffold and Access Solutions - 6,000 tonnes;
  • Plant and Equipment; and
  • Site Accommodation.

Development of the Greater Gorgon gas fields

The Gorgon Project is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the largest ‘single resource’ natural gas project in Australian history.

Located about 130 km off the north-west coast of WA, the project will develop the Gorgon and Jansz-Io gas fields with a estimated resource base of more than 40 trillion cubic feet of gas and a nominal development life of at least 40 years.

Central to the project is the construction of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) plant located on Barrow Island (approximately 70km off the Pilbara coast) and a domestic gas plant to supply gas to state of Western Australia.

Gorgon LNG will be off loaded via a 4 km long loading jetty for transport to international markets while domestic gas will be piped to the Western Australian mainland.
